Newcomers' activities extend from September to May and are open to members only. After joining, look for information in the monthly newsletter or contact us below for more information. For cybersecurity reasons, we are no longer posting members' addresses and phone numbers on the website. Please look up the number to call or email address in either your newsletter or Newcomers' directory.

Card Cut-Ups
Join our monthly group to create beautiful greeting cards using scrapbooking skills, whether you're a beginner or an expert. Come and craft festive cards with friends on the first Monday of each month at 9:30 a.m. Cost: $12.00 for materials. Location: 131 N. New Hampshire St., Covington, 70433.

Day Trippers
The Day Trippers group arranges trips one day a month to interesting places in Louisiana and Mississippi.

Sipping and Socializing
Sipping and Socializing is a group that meets one evening a month to enjoy dinner and wine at one of the wonderful restaurants on the Northshore.

Snack & Snoop
Do you enjoy exploring specialty stores on the Northshore and feasting at local restaurants? Then come explore with us!

Bunco
Bunco is a dice game with twelve or more players, divided into groups of four, trying to score points while taking turns rolling three dice in a series of six rounds.
First Wednesday of the month – @ 9:45am. We will play 3 games of Bunco and then eat lunch. Cost to play is $5 plus lunch and tip.

Hiking - Easy walking group
Join our group for monthly walks in local parks and preserves, followed by lunch at nearby restaurants. Bring comfy shoes, walking sticks, water, bug spray, and your sense of adventure! RSVP to Chairman Jeanne Renton—looking forward to a great day on the trails!

Learn to Play Hand & Foot Canasta - 16 Down
Many of our members love to play canasta. As you can see, we have lots of canasta activities. This beginners' group is being organized to teach Hand and Foot - 16 Down Canasta to people who are interested in playing.

7's From Hell
7's from Hell is a variation of Canasta game. This activity is for players who are familiar with this version of the game. We play one game, four rounds with card melds of 50/90/120/150.

Mah Jongg
Mah Jongg is a tile-based game that was developed in the 19th century in China and has spread throughout the world since the early 20th century. It is played by four players with a board and tiles.

Party Bridge Lessons
Designed for beginners and average players! Held on the fourth Thursday of each month at 10:00 AM, each session lasts 1.5 hours. You'll learn the basics of bidding and scoring in a relaxed environment, as Party Bridge offers a casual approach to the game. Come and enjoy a fun way to enhance your skills and meet fellow enthusiasts!
