Card Cut-Ups
This group uses their scrapbooking skills to make greeting cards. Whether you're an expert scrapbooker or wish to learn the craft, meeting with this group once a month will result in some gorgeous cards that you can send to friends and relatives.

Botanical Gardens of New Orleans’ City Park

City Park, New Orleans
We will stroll the lovely Botanical Gardens of City Park and afterwards enjoy lunch at Ralph’s on the Park. We’ll meet in the parking lot of Fresh Market, Mandeville, at 8:45 a.m., to carpool to New Orleans.
The cost to enter the garden is $12 Participation will be limited to 16. To reserve your spot, send your check, made out to Northlake Newcomers, to Debra Moore at 3007 Willow Lane, Madisonville, LA 70447 by April 3. Drivers are needed - please indicate your willingness to drive. Riders, be prepared to pay your driver $8 to cover gas and toll. Each lady will pay for her own lunch.

Learn to Play Hand & Foot Canasta - 16 Down
Many of our members love to play canasta. As you can see, we have lots of canasta activities. This beginners' group is being organized to teach Hand and Foot - 16 Down Canasta to people who are interested in playing.

Relaxation Group
Join us on Wednesday, April 9, for a trip to Laurens Henry Cohn, Sr. Memorial Plant Arboretum at 12206 Foster Road in Baton Rouge. It is a beautifully landscaped 16-acre tract of heavily wooded land used for the preservation and study of native plants and flora from other areas. It includes a fruit orchard, 4 water features, ponds with lily pads, two lakes, fish, Louisiana Iris, caretakers home with period furnishings, paved walking trail, and a Japanese maple and camelia collection. We can carpool from Cheryl's home in Hammond at 20333 Kingland Dr. at 9 a.m. Please be prepared to provide $5 to your driver to be collected before leaving, to cover gas. 7's from Hell is a variation of Canasta game. This activity is for players who are familiar with this version of the game. We play one game, four rounds with card melds of 50/90/120/150. Mah Jongg
Mah Jongg is a tile-based game that was developed in the 19th century in China and has spread throughout the world since the early 20th century. It is played by four players with a board and tiles. This group has several tables. Stipulations to play: Newcomers dues paid. Current Official Hands and Rules Card from the National Mah Jongg League, Inc.
