Newcomers Activities
Newcomers activities are from September to May and are open to members only. After joining, look for information in the monthly newsletter (September-May) or contact us below for more information. For cyber security, we are no longer putting members' addresses and phone numbers on the website. Please look up the number to call or email address in either your newsletter or Newcomers' directory.

Card Cut-Ups
This group uses their scrapbooking skills to make greeting cards. Whether you're an expert scrapbooker or wish to learn the craft, meeting with this group once a month will result in some gorgeous cards that you can send to friends and relatives.
Come join your friends and create Festive Cards for the season.
We meet on the first Monday of the month.

The Day Trippers group arranges trips one day a month to interesting places in Louisiana and Mississippi. ​​​​​​

Sipping and Socializing is a group that meets one evening a month to enjoy dinner and wine at one of the wonderful restaurants on the Northshore.

Do you enjoy exploring specialty stores on the Northshore and feasting at local restaurants? Then come explore with us!

​Bunco
Bunco is a dice game with twelve or more players, divided into groups of four, trying to score points while taking turns rolling three dice in a series of six rounds.

First Wednesday of the month – @ 9:45am. We will play 3 games of Bunco and then eat lunch. Cost to play is $5 plus lunch and tip.

Hiking Group
Monthly walks through area preserves and parks.
Afterwards, we head to area restaurants for a relaxing lunch together!
Bring: Comfy walking shoes, your walking sticks, water, bug spray, and your sense of adventure! RSVP to Chairman Jeanne Renton so we know to look for you—can’t wait to enjoy a beautiful day on the trails together.

7's From Hell
7's from Hell is a variation of Canasta game. This activity is for players who are familiar with this version of the game. We play one game, four rounds with card melds of 50/90/120/150.

Mah Jongg is a tile-based game that was developed in the 19th century in China and has spread throughout the world since the early 20th century. It is played by four players with a board and tiles.
